Weather Update: School Schedules and Parent-Teacher Conferences Rescheduled

Dear Parents and Families,

Due to the incoming winter weather forecasted for this Wednesday and Thursday, we want to provide you with an update regarding potential schedule changes and upcoming school events. Safety is our top priority, and we want to give families as much time as possible to plan.

Please read the following updates carefully:

Wednesday Schedule: We are currently planning for a regular start on Wednesday (tomorrow) morning. However, we will be monitoring the weather conditions closely throughout the day. Please be prepared for the possibility of an early release; we will make a decision mid-morning and communicate it to you immediately.

Thursday Schedule: Depending on how the storm develops overnight and into Thursday morning, a regular start is possible but unlikely. Please anticipate either a 2-hour delay or a full school cancellation. Please note: Regardless of what is determined for Thursday morning, there will no longer be an early release, and if school is in session, we will operate until the regular dismissal time at the end of the day. We will communicate our final decision as early as possible Thursday morning.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Rescheduled: Because of the anticipated weather disruptions, we are officially postponing this week’s Parent-Teacher Conferences. The conferences have been rescheduled to the following dates:

  • Tuesday, March 24 (Already an Early Release Day): 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM

  • Wednesday, March 25: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM

If you already had an appointment scheduled, your child's teacher or the school office will be in touch soon regarding rescheduling options.

Friday Schedule Reminder: As a reminder, there is no school for students this Friday, as it is a scheduled Professional Development day for our staff.

We will keep you updated as the weather system progresses through our School Messenger Announcements later today, tomorrow, and Thursday. We know that weather-related changes can be challenging for family schedules, and we deeply appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to keep our students and staff safe.

Stay safe and warm,

Benjamin Sirois - Superintendent of Schools
