Harvest Break Extension Requests

As the 2022 Potato Harvest Season is underway, we want to remind all students that are currently working on a potato farm that they can qualify for up to 5 additional days beyond the harvest break, if they are still needed to finish the harvest for the farmer they are working for.  

Students will only qualify for this extension if:

1. They are working on a potato farm. (No other employment will qualify.)
2. They are 14 years old or older. 
3. They complete the attached Harvest Break Extension Requests, which requires their parent/guardian signature, and a signature for the farmer they are working for. 

If approved, the student's teacher(s) will be notified and the student will be required to email their teachers before the extension period begins to work with the teacher(s) on a plan to make up the work missed during the extension.

Below is the link to the Harvest Break Extension Request form, which is due no later than Friday, October 7, 2022, and can be sent to the student's high school main office, Superintendent's office, or can be emailed directly to bsirois@vuesc.org for approval.
