As you pass by Community High School on Tuesday, December 29 or Wednesday, December 30, you may notice many vehicles in the parking lot. This is because many SAD27 teachers have volunteered to take part in a professional development opportunity that is offered from 8:00 - 11:30 on both those days.
Both sessions will afford teachers the opportunity to make necessary gains on their transition to proficiency-based education as they will get the chance to familiarize themselves with student scoring rubrics and familiarization with Empower, the program that will help drive proficiency in SAD27 schools.
We are thankful that our dedicated teachers and administrators are taking this time during their holiday break to work towards improving what they do in the classrooms every day.
